The Somali Advocacy for Justice and Equality Movement (SAJEM) engages with the U.S. Senate, U.S. Congress, the United Nations, and international partners to promote justice, inclusion, and human dignity for Somalia’s historically marginalized 4.5 clan communities.

SAJEM advocates for inclusive political representation, equitable access to economic opportunities, quality education, and healthcare for communities long excluded from national decision-making. We work to ensure that international policies, humanitarian aid, and development programs reflect the lived realities of marginalized Somalis.

A core focus of SAJEM’s advocacy is raising concerns about the displacement of poor and vulnerable populations, urging Somali authorities and global partners to uphold human rights, protect internally displaced persons, and pursue development that is lawful, humane, and inclusive.

Through principled engagement and global outreach, SAJEM supports a future where all Somalis—regardless of clan or status—have equal rights, protection, and opportunity.
