WELCOME TO SAJEM

Join the Movement for Equality and Justice

The Somali Advocacy for Justice and Equality Movement (SAJEM) was established in 2021 by a group of highly educated men and women from marginalized Somali communities. Formed in response to long-standing systemic exclusion, SAJEM has emerged as a leading voice advocating for justice, equality, and human rights for the communities commonly referred to as the 4.5 clans.
SAJEM advances its mission through conferences, seminars, policy discussions, humanitarian, and strategic use of social media, and creating platforms for education, dialogue, and collective action. The organization is dedicated to amplifying marginalized voices, promoting inclusive political representation, and advancing social and economic equity.
Grounded in principles of dignity, accountability, and nonviolence, SAJEM works locally and internationally to ensure that the rights of the 4.5 communities are recognized, protected, and respected.
